I'd say you nailed it. I'm working on this kind of capture but you're 'way ahead of me.
-
Good capture, to be sure, but I can't help but see a woman masturbating.
That is not something I want to see.
But it is technically well done.

The angle, the cropping and the sky make this a powerful shot. Your friend gave you good advice!

Excellent! Wonderful colors and exposure, great depth of field. Can't think of any way to improve on it!

This is a wonderful piece of work! If I had taken it, it would be hanging on my wall! Sunrises are alway spectacular but they don't get much better than this! Congratulations!
-
A classic landscape...absolutely beautiful! Just keep on taking them!

Wonderful contrast between the classic and the ultra-modern. (Which one will still be standing 100 years from now??) Don't know if the tilt was intentional but I like what it does for the surreal nature of the result. (I think I was there last night!)

You shot at the right time of day...the colors are beautiful. You got the horizon straight...that still gives me problems. But my mind is trying to fill in what my eye isn't seeing. Including the ground (where the huts are anchored) would complete the picture.

Hang around kids long enough and we can learn to appreciate beauty! Great shot!

Well done! Great angle for emphasizing the pointy nose/fat fendered design features of this model.
-
Nice job! Well composed...well lit...well exposed.
-
Very, very well done! That's making good use of insomnia!

Beautiful...peaceful...restful! I could hang this on the wall and just sit and look at it!
Congratulations!

The simplicity of the scene and the coloring make this a truly remarkable photo! Congratulations!
-
Good composition and perspective...great sky!

An action shot with real scenery in the background! I don't think it gets much better than that!

This is a beautiful scene. My only comment is that the lamp post overpowers the silhouette of the cathedral on the horizon. That leaves my eye wondering where to land. You might try cropping it to a portrait (vertical) format, cutting out everything to the right of the sun and making the lamp post the primary subject.

Beautiful scene! Given the otherwise smooth curve of the shoreline and softness of the lights, I'm trying to decide if the structures in the foreground add or detract.
-
Congratulations on the composition! Very nicely done!

Surely brings to mind the wonderful smells of horses and leather! Nice job!

I agree...great shot! I really like the horizontal lines that accentuate the silhouette of the fisherman. Good eye!!

I actually like the cloud formation and colors in the sky. Reminds me in a way of a Thomas Hart Benton painting.
The effect might be enhanced by using portrait instead of landscape.
The other photo you attached might be suffering for want of a focus. It does bear witness to the vastness of those plains, but having driven across them several times, the shot reminds me that those plains are boring. Unfortunately, viewers may be sensing that you've captured the boring as well...not necessarily a good thing. The shot needs a focus combined with a composition that leads the eye to that focus. More drama in the sky would help.
