i second the vote for out of town news in harvard square. i have seen lfi in there previously but don't know if they carry it on a regular basis. best to cal if you are making a special trip.

everyone has a pen, pencil or word processor so i guess writing doesn't exist anymore....
i'm going to have to edit my business card, it reads "photographer", i'll have to make that "magician".... no wait, make that "imagician."

no that's not steve miller. as far as being a jazz player, although he is known as a rock
guitarist his major influence was les paul, a close family friend.

in 1968, as a freshman in college, i took my student loan money over to willoughby's and
purchased a pentax spotmatic w/ 50mm 1.4 for the princely sum of $250.00. i still have it
and it still works.

pete, you just don't get it do you? give it up already.

pete,
the only thing rude & unprofessional here is your post. i bought a camera from dan last
year & met him at his place of employment to pick it up. evertything was as advertised and
we had a nice little chat. dan is honest, personable and downright hospitable.
i wouldn't be so fast to besmirch someone's name and reputation. i believe you owe dan
and everyone here an apology for your rash and unfounded post.

well done eddie. one of the finest shots i've seen here in a long time.

explain?

had the same problem with dhl. i bought an m7 from henry's and they shipped dhl. they
charged $144.00 duty and classified the camera as an accessory. when i called to
complain they told me there would be a $100.00 research fee to look into it. i refused to
pay either charge and they are still trying to collect from me 11 months later.

using your fingers and a little "nose grease" is a time honored darkroom trick and one that
i learned in photo 101 35 years ago. in addition to removing the dust it also helps to fill in
any little scratches. regarding dust on 4x6 prints, my mini lab spots them. it takes a little
more time but they don't have to reprint and i don't have to complain.

not to shoot down this theory, but this reaction is not limited to the m8.
as a professional photographer shooting with a nikon dslr, many times when showing one of my subjects their image on the lcd i wtll be asked, "is this film or digital?" not everyone is camera savvy and they equate the shape of an slr with film just as the shape of the m8 appears very to be an old film camera. to most people a digital camera is in the shape of a p&s and to take a photo you hold it out at arms length. if you are looking through a viewfinder you must be shooting film.
