Hi,
Last weekend, I had a chance to visit Meramec Caverns in Missori,
Rolla. The limestone formations are spectacular and this is one of
them... Please comment on exposure, composition etc...
I didnt carry a tripod so this image is captured by placing the
camera on a rock and used self-timer to minimize shake....
Thanks,
Mugundhan

Lorenzo,
Thanks for comment, as i said earlier, I didnt have access to tripod and the fountain timing was not exact, when my camera turns on it takes a while for the zoom lens to come out, so I ddint have much time to compose, also I was inside the tower and shot from there, these black marks are window bars....gutsy winds made it very cold Since I was on vacation I turned on the date fn and forgot to turn it off when doing these kinds of fotos not quite take and go...
Thanks for the comments

Scott,
Thanks for the comment, I wanted a longer exposure but tripods were not allowed tp of the tower and windy conditions made me chose the 1/30 sec as slowest exposure. Also fountain appeared so fast that I just wanted to capture this moment so ddint have much time to do a proper compositions didnt try to zoom in or out

It was very windy up the tower, this was the best I was able to do.
I guess this wud be another of "those" Vegas pix, I know there are
better pix than mine out there. For a beginner like me, Vegas
offered lots of learning opportunities, please offer comments. F2.1,
1/30 Sec and ISO 100 Thanks! Mugundhan

Hi,
I attended by first baseball game Spet 19 (Rockies Vs Padres in
Denver, CO) after coming to USA and when I was going up the stadium
to my seat, I was intrigued by this usher watching the game very
earnestly with hands in front of him With the backdrop of the sunset
and the bright flood lights illuminating the ground(I exposed for
the sky so the flood lights were overexposed), I used a shutter
speed of 1/4 seconds and using a nearby food stall trash bin as my
tripod took this picture.... I guess I missed the batsman, next time
will do better...

Hi,
This is my third picture in photo.net, comments from first 2 were
very constructive and please let me know how i can improve
further... I liked the bright colors on the fountain and thought shd
try to capture it, with a low shutter speed (8 seconds is the
lowest on my camera), i wanted to silken the water flow in the
darkening ambience, instrad of a tripod I was using a huge trash can
top to hold my camera
Thanks,
Mugund
