For several days now, since this Avril photograph was posted as the photo of the week, I have been haunted by its grey, its angles, and its message. I had not even wanted to read the critiques, so had been ignoring the opening page and skipping to the forums. My heart beats faster when I see it, and the only possible thing I could offer as criticism is.... well, nothing. Except this, cropping is a fantastic tool, to enhance what is worthy and discard what is not. In this case, however, your ORIGINAL photo was enough to impact my safe, happy little world in Oklahoma, and cropping it would not change that. But, I too am a fan of the original photo... what your eyes saw and what your heart was compelled to capture on film.

I love how you captured his eyes.... they have the texture of the characters in the old spaghetti Westerns....
