  1. I am looking to buy a flash for my Nikon F100, I need a Dedicated TTL

with slave capabilities. Any advise on the best flash? Also any

books that have good advise on how to use flash. I am a beginner

when it comes to flash and the capabilities and uses.

    Thanks, Patrick Smith

  2. I will be attending a concert for a local rock band and was hoping to

shoot the show. I was wondering what shutter speeds are required to

    freeze the

action and more importantly what lens is needed. It will be a dark

stage with only color spot lights. I was hoping to find out how

large of an aperture is needed in order to get the correct exposure

without using a flash. Is a 2.8 lens sufficient, or is a 1.8/1.4

    needed?

    Thanks for your Help

  3. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Canon G3 or G5 compared

to the Olympus C-5050. I am seriously looking at both cameras and was

hoping someone who had either camera could tell me its strong and weak

points, and why they chose the one they did. Is purple fringing a problem with

both cameras? red eye? better lens? better aperture? As far as what I've

heard it comes down to which feels better in you hands. Just wondering if this

is true. Thanks for your help.

  4. I will be attending the Formula One car race in Indianapolis this Sept. I will be

    using my Nikon F100 with a 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 and renting a 70-200 f/2.8. I want

to capture the cars so they look frozen. And pan so the background is blurred.

I was wondering what shutter speed is necessary is order to achieve these

effects. Also, what speed film, brand, and name of film. Also wondering if it

would be better to rent a 300 f/2.8, or another lens (I will be shooting from my

normal seat). Does anyone know who to contact to get a press pass, or the

best areas to shoot around Indy.

    Thanks,
