Sorry, but this doesn't strike me as anything special. To be more interesting the rail should be totally in focus. Right now it looks just like a distraction. Perhaps a wider angle should have been used.

Rick, I love this picture too. How did you get such a dark background, and yet have his face so brightly lit?

I'm very impressed with this shot, given that it was done in entirely natural light with no studio backdrop. It inspires me to try a similar technique for my baby. I think this picture is the best of this series, because it looks like he is meditating. -

1. The print needs more snap. Perhaps a little bit more contrast to bring out the blacks.
2. As another poster mentioned, the glare should be reduced on the father's glasses.
3. Perhaps the father should be centered?Nonetheless, very well done.
