At least $500/day plus all expenses and you keep copyrights.

"one of the guests of the party is upset that she has to purchase a photo through my website"
I'm pretty upset that I have to pay for my coffee at Starbucks. Tell her that's life and to suck it up.

Check out Strobist.

You can balance the lighting and fill in the shadows. Can even exposure for flash and darken ambient at high noon.

If you can afford the 2.8, get the 2.8.
You'll never find yourself in a low light situation saying, "I wish I'd gotten the f/4"

Another thing might be to cross-link with providers of other services (florists, venues, etc). You link to them and they link to you.

Ask your webmaster to be sure that you are configured so that you show up on search engines. I haven't done that yet and I don't show up on a Google search (on the list of things to do).
Also, get listed on wedding sites like the Knot. It costs, but probably money well spent. Brides tell me they use those kind of wedding sites.

Shoot during dress rehearsal ... position yourself wherever it's best....it's done all the time.

I got black, but I llike Ellis's idea.

Maybe you could get the B&G and officiant to recreate a couple of poses just after the ceremony. That way you could get the shots and maybe even strategically place a CTO gelled strobe so it boosts the light w/o changing the mood. If they like the candle lit stuff, and they want good pictures they might just be open to something like this.

Joel,
Is the email address correct? Are there 2 @'s in the first one?
Could you email me the correct first email address?

I don't see L in the name -- so who cares

I have Bees, but I would probably get 3 580's and some cheap stands and umbrellas if I were to do it again. Check out Adorama's stands and stuff.

Wish I lived closer so I could be your 2nd shooter. Unfortunately I'm in Raleigh & have plans.

I got it too.

I love the Canon 15-55 IS. I shoot in dimly lit clubs and being able to hand hold at 1/5 - 1/10 sec is a good thing.

Push it back to him and ask what he's paid in the past or if he had a price in mind.

Can you shoot later in the evening when the outside will be darker & turn on all the inside lights?
I did this once when I was shooting a home staging and the results were very good. I white balanced for tungsten so the low outdoor light was bluish.
Alternatively, get a few more flashes and some wireless triggers.
PS: What program do you use for virtual tours?

Left you a few comments. In general, you need to watch your backgrounds. Simple and dark is generally good.
Re: clients. You meet all types. I think you got a couple of great shots and the 'foot' shot is great. As a photographer, you want every shot to be on target. The clients usually only need one or two.

I'd go with the Sigma 24-70 2.8 because I've used it, my son is using it now, and it's a good lens.

I think this guy is:
He was using a Fuji 617, but last I heard he was getting a 1DsMkII a couple of years ago.
