Dear Domen
I live in Athens,Greece and I used www.technikdirekt.de, which I found very reliable, fast, and with quite a variety of products.

ECF serves me very well with my Canon 30V. What blocks Canon from
incorporating this function in the digital slr series?
-
I do thank you all for your immediate response!

I am about to purchase the Canon 24-105. I know that there was a problem
noticed in the first samples of this lens. Do you happen to know after which
production serial number the problem has been fixed? This info will prevent me
from accepting a possible early problematic lens.

For Giampi - Which lens did you take this wonderful photo with?

Dear Andre, I give one strong vote for the Tokina 19-35 lens. Although I have moved forward to the Canon 17-40, Tokina has served me well for years, complementing my Canon 7NE.

Dear photo enthusiasts, pros and amateurs, I wish you all a Happy
New Year with great photos.
-
I consider myself ECF addict. Go for it!

Before buing the Canon 17-40/4, I shot a lot with the Tokina 19-35. I've been very satisfied with the quality it produced, considering its low price. Amateur Photographer mag remarked it highly, during a wide angle lenses review.

Dear all, does any of you happen to know, where I could download the
manual for Acdsee, preferably 5.0 version?
-
Dear Nick,
I've had the very same worries, when I first got mine. Check my previous thread on the matter.

Do you think that the new presented 70-300/4-5.6 IS justifies being
a better model compared to the oldy 100-300/4.5-5.6? I would like to
know your experienced, well established opinions.

Dear CI P,Mike,Sonny,James,Joe,Pano,Robin and Ian,
thank you all for your quidance. I know I can find competitive prices in Athens, I am concerned of used lenses bargain though. Yes I will enjoy London sightseeing testing my new 17-40/4.

Dear all, I'll be flying to London this week and I would like to
know, which shop you recommend for photo gear.
-
I resized the photo and I am sending it again.

I want to thank you all for your answers. I went today to my local store and checked another 17-40/4 and I assure you it makes the same noise. I suggest we all forget the old times metal and smooth lens construction.

Dear all,
today I purchased my first L lens, the well regarded 17-40/4, after
giving away a Tokina 19-35, which served me well. Yet I would like to
have feedback from all of you, who own this lens as well, because of
the following. The manual focus ring is moving perfectly and
smoothly. On the other hand, when I rotate the focal ring I hear some
kind of scratching movement. Do you think it's normal, or is it a bad
copy?
I expected a L lens to be perfect and silent. My previous Tokina was
silent though.
I'll appreciate your responce.

Dear all,
I am thinking of buying the generally appraised Canon 50mm/1.4 to
add to my arsenal along with my Elan 7NE. I read somewhere that this
lens doesn't offer distance data capability to the 420 EX flashlight.
Would anyone explain to me how this affects the use of the
flashlight, what's its effect on the photos and is there a reason
not to purchase this lens?
Thank you all in advance for your input.

You should also check Tokina 19-35/3.5-4.5. It's price is ca 200$.The quality of pictures is amazing considering the low price. Most of the time I have it mount on me 7NE.
