Interesting. Like the color of the eyes and lips, I assume the eyes are also color-enhanced. The black print running over the face is an idea worth exploring, but it's not quite there yet. For instance, it still runs in very straight lines over the curves of her ears. Keep experimenting with it.Good luck.

I think this is the most beautiful picture in your portfolio. The lighting flatters her body in a wonderful way. I also like to see her hands, which I think are very beautiful. I agree with Steve that more detail in the hair would be nice. I wonder why you cropped just below the top of her head? Beautiful model, beautiful lighting and photography.

Definitely converys a mood, and a place. Captures the magic and alienation of the manmade environment. I think it is gripping.

Good stuff. Captures the feeling of cold and isolation. The orange contrasts nicely with the gray of the sky and water. I suppose you show so much water and sky to put him in context, but I would have liked to see the subject fill more of the frame, and to see his eyes. I think a tighter crop around the man would be a more interesting treatment.

Nice sharp focus on the flower. I also like that you can see the finch's face and eye. Nature photography is very tough. Nice Work.

Nicely composed. very serene and tranquil. It includes more background than the typical macro, which I think really enhances the composition.

Ingenious, and beautiful.

Very dramatic light. The foreground gives a sense of place. Have you experimented with different croppings? Perhaps including less grass in the foreground, or using a vertical cropping around the storm? Nice work.

Very subtle, very original. I almost clicked past it without seeing the image. Nicely done.

Like the skin tone, and the way her hair appears next to the fur collar. Careful posing and composition. Very nicely done.

Captures a mood. The fact that the signs are not readable in some ways makes it more general, but takes away some of our context for understanding the scene. (probably a deliberate choice). Love the contrast between the hands tattoo and the anger. Very nice work.

Interesting treatment with the inset below. In some ways that is a more comical photo than the larger photo. Like it very much.

I like that you included the sign, to identify the place. Makes it feel stronger for me, somehow. The spread arms are almost a crucified posture. Good strong image of a too common sight.

I realize you're working in difficult lighting, but the blurred face is very distracting to me, especially since other items in the picture are sharp, which are probably not the intended subject (e.g. guitar strap, print on shirt). It might work better if his whole body were in motion.

An expressive portrait, with nice colors, and enough background to put thje subjects in context. Like the contrast between the woman's expression and the child.
-
Like the unusual colors, the tight cropping.

I like it. It is without question a dramatic location in dramatic light. The yellows seem a bit washed out. Have you taken other photos of the same location? How would this look with a vertically cropping?
-
Very creative. Shows how much can be done with very simple lighting. I admire your work.

Beginner photographer, my first experiment with dramatic lighting.
This is unmanipulated, straight from the camera. A daffodil set in
an unusual glass candle holder, lit from below. Single source of
light.
Automatic focusing and autoexposure. Camera hand held.
Any and all honest critique greatly appreciated.
