One thing I would have liked to see on the 20D was the 2inch 235K pixel LCD viewfinder such as found on the Powershot Pro1(a $999 camera).

The 20D still carries the same 1.8 inch 118K pixel LCD panel from the 10D.

Is the Canon EF 20-35 f/2.8L you mention a used one(which is no longer sold at retail stores)

There is no such item at B&H atleast.

The closest item that matches on B&H was

Canon EF 20-35 f/3.5-4.5 USM for $350 after rebate.

I have the 17-40L and love it.

Check the input V range on the battery power adapter(the one that you plug in to the camera for charging). That would tell you if it is designed to take 220V. These devices usually are multi-voltage aware.

The battery adapter for my powershot G3 as well as my camcorder accept input voltage range from 110V-220V, and they recharged fine during my trip to Australia.
