Yes 'tis a shame about this pier - I agree (I was there when it happened - but as usuall, I missed the action tut!).

Urm, a boring background... well as long as it is well out of focus and not too interesting anything will do. I am not wanting to take this pic to bits (honest I'm not) but since you asked... if you had gotten very close to this couple and a really small apperture this pier would have disappeared (not in the sea you understand ;) ).

 

I have the same happening to me - I know the below pic is a "Group Portrait" but look at the bloody stuff behind - d'oohh!!.

I'm sorry but... I know that all our images are displayed how we want them to be and our pictures are our pictures, but, I feel that if you wanted something in the background to highlight the couple then it ought not be something too interesting and the pier is interesing to the eye and it's blurred. Sorry. I dont mean to insult or be rude.

Hi Martin, I agree about your light and composure probs with this one but I kept on and on and on looking at this. If it keeps my attention for that period of time I reckon it is a good pic - however you define "good" - it doesnt matter - I like this pic.
