  1. I bought auto extension tube #2 for Mamiya RB at ebay.

Yesterday, when I try first time to attach it to camera I found that

I can`t close the security ring to unit lens to tube. Finally after

numbers of attempts I could close it a little, but after release the

button it doesn`t lift the mirror all the way, but just move it a

little bit. Did anybody encounter the same problem?

  2. Yes, guys, I understand all of yours arguments. But the desire to explore the new advantage... I think I have a strong influence of a digital field that i busy with it during last 2-3 years. But "unfortunately" I have an experience of a good quality of MF and manual b&w printing... Really what I want it is a digital waist level. (My dream is RB with a cheap digital preview).

I hope I don`t offend the feelings of all of MF`s owners (include myself) but yesterday I saw the promotion of the new Minolta A1 with a 5 MG (18x24 cm x 300 dpi) and 28-200 zoom and a twisting viewfinder and screen. May be it will be my direction...

  3. First of all give me introduce me and my internal conflict. I have

my RB ProS with two lens (55 & 140macro) and a lot of accessories

for more than 10 years and it`s my first (and heavy!) love. I myself

occupied in the field of photo art more than 20 years (you can see

my works at www.uniart.net) dealing with photomontage. But the time

goes ahead, we reach the digital era and I find myself sitting in

front of PC 10-12 hours every day. And I turn to scanning the

negatives and slides to prepare them to the digital manipulation

instead of making negatives sandwich or multiple printing. So

this is my dilemma: I have about $2.000-3.000 to improve my photo

stuff before I insert the scanning matter to computer. But till now

for this sum I can only dream about digital back, so I must leave my

thoughts about smooth way from analog MF to digital MF. Meantime I

bought Canon G2 to experience the digital shooting. I fall in love

with this pretty little digital piece, that give me opportunity to

immediately realize what I get and change all the parameters until I

see what I want, but in most of causes only see on the screen, but

not really get on the print. And I sit between light flip-flop 1.8

digital display of Canon G2 and heavy 6x7 cm waist level of RB with

about S2500 in my pocket and I ask myself what to do: upgrade RB to

RZ or buy 645 AFD? After I read most of posts in this forum dealing

with RB vs RZ I think I can focus this questions:

    1. If I buy only body of RZ and combine it with my RB`s lens

what profit I can reach? (i mean more than only the one-pass cock,

more light and things like that)?

    2. If I go ahead and buy RZ with AE Prism Finder and once again

try to use it with my RB`s lens what profit I can reach?

    3. And if the answer is that I can benefit from all the

advantages of RZ vs RB only when I buy the full set include the AE

Prism Finder, may be I have to begin to think about 645 AFD?

(despite I don`t like the 645 format, but anyway in the end of

every shoot I go to scan)

I will appreciative to everyone who can help me to solve this

    dilemma.
