Any comments you might have would be appreciated.

Yes, it's a digital... I wanted to reproduce some more organic looking features. I wanted to see if anyoen would pick up on it.
Actaully, suprisingly, it's not toned. The color is reflected off the siding on the house and it just came out perfectly toned.

This was a wonderful shot right outside my mothers home, basicly on
her front steps. Some hand alterations in the darkroom brought me
this print.

Blow out sky is distracting, I would try a much tighter cropping.
-
Clouds are great, but other elements in the shot are very bland. I would think a tight portraits cropping in the center of the image might produce some interesting results.

Persionally I love it, but I would make some small changes. I would delete the last vestages of humanity by removint at least the car, and possibly the road as well. I would go back and clean up the seams since there are one or two that are still visible. Then I would get a hige print and hang it somewhere nice.

Great shot. I would have stoped down the apature a little more to get the whole spider in focus though.

I would love it to be sharper.. this was one of a few dozen dragonfly shots where most ogt the axe. The 55mm kit lens is ok, but I think a 100+ IS would have really helped me nail the shot. I did manage to pull quite a bit of deatil out of the RAW image with the unsharp mask without causing any degridation to the image.
Thanks everyone for the support. I'm not doing too bad for less than a month with a SLR.

As always all feedback is welcome. This was part of a ahul yesterday
that wend ok. I'm still attempting to seek out the elusive bright
blue tiger striped dragon flys that swarm this location. The only
problem is they are too skittish and move way to fast. Here is
another type that I was able to capture.

I think I would have rated astetics more if you had more uniform lighting to draw out the color (5/6)

As always, all feedback is welcome. Before you say it... yes I think
it should be a tighter cropping, but I was not satisfied with any
tighter a croping since I lost too mich detail either in the dragonfly
or in the foliage that he is attached to ( love the detail in the leaf ).

Yes, this is also the one I like the most too.

WAYYY over saturated, sky looks fake.

Color balance looks wrong. I would try and remove some of the red cast so that the plants look greenish again. The two trees just centerd like that donesn't do anything for the picture.

Just a tad dark for my tast, but still and excellent shot

Excellent shot, but what happened in the shadow areas? ( under chin / by ears )
