A good place to start is with the 28-135IS. Its a good all around lens. Others may disagree. Another lens that will serve you well is the 50 f1.8. Its really sharp and inexspensive. Can't really help you with the wide angle. I'm looking for one myself.

I agree that the 28-135IS is a great place to start. It has the features you want and the image quality is very good. My suggestion is that you take your camera with you to your local camera shop. There you can try out the lens you are considering. I'm sure that the possibility of a sale will make them eager to help you. The best judge of a lens is your own eyes.
