The sheets are canvas, which was never white even if it was clean. The mast is greased and most of the standing lines are tarred. A lot of that ends up on the sails. This is not a weekend cruising ship. And sailing her is no party either. -
We headed north against the swell and the wind. Conditions were
rough and they would remain this way for the next three weeks. After
a man-over-board drill we left Hawaiian waters at full speed. Any
written commentary regarding any aspect of this photo are much
appreciated.
this is in Bath, England. Its a beautiful place - there are natural hot springs there that power the buildings and actual ancient Roman baths.
