  1. I use the high speed crop with the 200mm to get a 300mm f2. For tennis it is a big advantage to have more than 1/500 to freeze the movement of the ball and racket a bit, the 8fps is an advantage of lower importance for me. With a 300 2.8 I would have had only 1/400 f2.8 on the baseline and 1/500 f2.8 at the net. In sports, the speed of the 200 f2 is the most important advantage. Best G.

    Little buddhist

All Buddhist places I visited as a non capitalist western had an entrance fee for westerners, except this place in Litang. What is your problem with calling a capitalist a capitalist and a buddhist a buddhist? It's no problem to call a goat a goat! What's your problem? You really think this little boy or his parents, friends, entourage would give a damn f*ck if I called this nice little boy a buddhist. No...because he is. I had appreciated some feeback, positive or negative, on the pic. Thanks

Hello Alan, beautiful portrait, like we're used from you. What you say about photography im Burma (Myanmar) is not 100 % true. You're right about avoiding Police and Military objects, but the problem in Burma is that you never know who's police, military and who's civil. Burma has an enormous amount of secret police members, especially in the areas where the junta hasn't got 100% control, so it's best you be very careful when photographing overthere. Rule number 1 when you encounter problems, never start talking about politics and act like you're the most stupid idiot running around : "I'm fascinated by the beautiful nature, you're country is soooo beautiful..." ,don't tell anything else . I don't know which parts you visited but traveling in the eastern Shan province isn't that easy, a good and trustfull guide is a must to avoid having problems with the cops. Best Geert

Nice pic Amar, a bit mysterious. I just wonder why you didn't included the shadow, not sure this would improve the pic...I'm just wondering. Best Geert
