Hi all. I installed the latest version of Spyder Pro3 Software ver 3.0.7,
and also updated the latest video card drivers but still my display looks
over saturated using windows / Internet explorer and Nikon view. Also when
using CS3 my display then looks all washed out and under saturated. I know
its a wide gamut display but there must be a way of getting some
consistency.

Thanks

Paul

Thanks again Raymond. I will try again tomorrow and let you know my findings.
Hi Raymond
Thanks for replying. What values did you settle for with Brightness and Contrast? Also did you let the Spyder calibrate the Custom RGB or one of the other presets?
Thanks

Hi all
I have read all the links that I can find on this subject.
For missed WB in camera, what do you do to correct the image. Yes, I
shoot RAW but even shooting RAW I cannot always dial the overall
colour balance in exact.
I am assuming there are 3 key places that you would want to colour
correct through the image - the highlight, mid-tone, shadow.
Highlights seem pretty straight forward as it is just aligning each
channel accordingly at the end point. Same goes for shadows...BUT,
what do you do for mid tones? (Please do not say to take the gray
eyedropper and find something gray....If I could find something gray,
I would not need the eyedropper)
In everything stated above, please correct me if I am wrong....
I have always assumed that in any image, there are reference points
that would allow you to align the colour channels and balance the
image close to perfect. With the highlights and blacks, you can do
this by the numbers...Which, I like very much. The problem comes in
when dealing with the midtones. I have many images that the white and
black points are nailed perfect but the mid-tone are off, or at least
that is what appears to be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Paul.

hi all
I am considering purchasing a D100 and would like to know if it can
be used to take IR. Do you know of some links or galleries of IR
photos.

Thanks Tom
I had a look at the link, looks to much like hard work. Think I will have to go with plan (B) A new camera!!

Hi, all
Can you help, I have a D 7hi and have been told that by removing
the 'hot mirror ' this will make the sensor more sensitive to IR .
Does anyone know how to do this or have a link to a site that could
be of any help.
Any help would be appreciated
