  1. I faintly remember that sometimes NEF:s did not open, sometimes possibly due file corruption, sometimes possibly related to file ownership in Windows system, operating systems come and go, external hard drives often serve longer, possible workaround was to copy files onto computer internal drive and then back to external to solve ownership issues, and then Nikon imaging software would show those difficult images.

  2. I remember seeing somewhere in internet, probably on photography on malaysia site, a Nikon remote control system that operates in RC or ultrasound range, there was also pictures where one could see that it reminded to some extend stick RC controller and recievers.

  3. 2020s human have attention span like 15 seconds, then they start skipframing till end of video. For posting cheerious files online from .mov source, look for screen recording software, some allow cropping, scaling, numerous video and audio codecs, etc. These softwares run even in slightly older computer

  4. In finnish Nikon site I see seven colors, one with gray grip and black one plus five other options. Micro-SD UHS1 is nice, one can shoot jpeg small normal with quality priority and toss the memory card between phone and camera. 28mm SE seems also nice. I can not afford kit yet, but I look around for trades and such.

  5. In mid nineties when I was buying a camera, I had like three serious options, Canon T70 (manual focus), Minolta Dynax *00si autofocus camera and some Nikon that was too expensive and can not even remember exact model. I did get Minolta with kit lens, shot some rolls and later sold the gear.

I remember Canon Fd lenses had letters like C. coated, S.C. spectral coated and S.S.C super spectral coated.

  6. Characters seem to hold some sort of bowls. This reminds me of documentary of african concrete workers. In nordic countries it is common that concrete mixer operator showels sand and cement directly to the mixer. In africa they have separate bowl operators that each transports mixed indegridients from ground level to mill.

  7. With textile printing it is all the same what resolution setting of D200 one uses.

Latest Nikon RAW-software supports many cameras all the way to year 1999. D200 included. DPI can be set into images here.

If one is after posterisation effects often seen in textile printing, photoshop or gimp might be more suitable. DPI can be set into images here.

  8. I have not used D1X but I assume that menus are not that different from D1H. In CSM MENU there might be Image Review setting, choosing OFF turns off monitor while shooting. Then in CSM MENU there might be Monitor Off setting where one can set time monitor goes off.

  9. One method to compare output is to make bigger prints and observing what happens. Once I had 30x45cm inkjet printed photobook made in photobook service. In this book is 2,7Mpix landscape image next to cropped 20Mpix landscape image. Difference in detail is visible.

My guess is that 16Mpix and 45Mpix images are going to look pretty much the same in usual print sizes.

Usual computer screen pixel densities are so low, that I would not use screen as tool to compare full size output.
