    This isn't up tp your usual quality as displayed in the 08 post. Questions to ask yourself: What is most important, the foreground or background? Does the foreground overwhelm the background? is the horizon line level? Does the middle ground eliminate part of the subject, i.e. the aurora? I notice that you are attemptng in your posts to include foreground of man made structures to show size, etc. Very good, almost necessary, but don't allow that to overwhelm your main subject - like the strings of lights in two posts. Those are almost more interesting than the aurora. See Paul Elliott B&W of 09 as a sample of the aurora - the main subject - dominates the image.

    This is truly a fine composition. You have avoided overwhelming the viewer with negative space and the foreground balances the background. Is the reflection on ice or water? I have been there-never seen it like this. Good white exposure too. Cheers
