Thanks for the comment. I like the head crop idea.

Nice clouds.
You might want to try a panoramic type of crop, as the clear blue area seems a bit excessive.
Secondly, I think the horizon might be a little off. You may want to straighten that some.

Thanks for the thoughtful critique.
I appreciate it.
I think I showed him the photo, and he liked it. We bought two of these plates, which I'm sure he also appreciated.

Are the eyes noticeable enough, at this size? At full size on my
monitor, the eyes really are piercing.

I was at the Met museum with my girlfriend, and really liked the
lines.
I desaturated it a bit. It was warmer, but I wanted an almost black
and white look.

How might this compare to my other gorilla portrait?

It was a fountain. Water was pouring out of the top, spilling over the side, and falling along to a raised pool. Very eye catching.
Thanks for the comment.

Visited Minneapolis for a conference. It was nice seeing a place
that has clouds in the sky (I'm from Los Angeles).
Comments please?

I wish the eye was open, but since they have pretty small eyes, I'm
not sure if it would have made much of a difference.

Should I have focused closer?

This is my fledgling attempt at "Environmental Portaiture"
Please give me any comments, suggestions, and critiques. I could
really use them.
PS: We bought 2 of these plates.

Amazing shot. Beautiful.
I would just like point something out. I'm pretty sure the ref isn't holding the boxer back. He's counting "3" out of 10 for the knock out count.
Amazing shot, great in Sepia. Love the psychological lines all pointing at the downed fighter, and his slight turn away from his opponent.

Should I have cropped in some?

Fledgling attempt at street photography. Any good, any pointers?

Does the green grass destract?

How does the blue triangle work?
Any comments appreciated.

Should I have upped the exposure? I feel it may be a little too
dark.

I thought the animal print in the background really helped. How are
the "keylights" on the eyes? Is the blue too distracting?

The weather was too cold for the gorillas to be out in the
Congo "habitat" so they were stuck in their dens - where we got to
be very close.
She liked hanging out right next to the glass.
This is a very emotional image to me.
