Hi All,
I stumbled across a great (IMHO) PS support and links page today and
wanted to share it with the forum. Many of you are probably already
familiar with this site, but if you aren't, here it is:
http://www.photoshopsupport.com/.
It has a large number of well organized links to supporting PS sites,
brushes, actions, tutorials, etc, etc. Hope it helps. Rick

I agree with the group above. NeatImage is the way to go. Rick

I second Howard's suggestion. I think it is a good one. Those willing to be dues paying members should be able to critique both, but not vice versa. Rick

Hi Darrell. I'd like to add a 'me too' to the Photokit Sharpener endorsements. I have used this software now for about 6 months and find it really flexible and effective in producing the proper amount of sharpness I want. And it does it as a separate layer, so I can turn it on or off, add a layer mask, etc. Strong thumbs up for me on Photokit Sharpener. Rick Langer

I have been using layers extensively in photoshop processing. But
I'm having a problem maintaining the intervening adjustment layers.
For example, if I create 'layer 1' copied from background, and
onto 'layer 1' I create adjustment layers for, say, channels and
brightness/contrast, and then I want to create 'layer 2' for cloning,
how do I preserve the channels and brightness/contrast layers? If I
go back to 'layer 1' and command-J it, and then move it to the front
of the channels and brightness/contrast adjustments, I lose those
adjustments. Now, I can merge those adjustment layers into 'layer 1'
before copying 'layer 1' to 'layer 2', but is there a way to get a
complete 'layer 2' (reflecting all of the previous image adjustments)
without losing the channels and brightness/contrast adjustments? As
always, thanks in advance for the suggestions. Rick Langer
Nikon Coolscan 9000

Hi All,
I am considering buying a Nikon Coolscan 9000 to finally convert many of my
old slides to digital. Tried to buy the 5000 but it doesn't seem to be
available anywhere. Most of my old slides are 35mm cardboard mounted. Can
these be loaded into the 6 slot tray that comes with the 9000? Any ideas as
to why the 5000 isn't available anywhere? As always....thanks for the help.
Rick
