Hi Sheldon.
Really interested in the E100VS frame with the sprockets exposed: Tell me that was done on actual film and how? This so simply typifies VS film and I really like the effect.
Bravo.
Also how did you get along with the 70-200 f2.8L IS with 2x converter?
Many thanks

Its obviously a very good shot, subject technique composition rules etc
But, just remember that this was shot with a rangefinder camera, underwater on ISO 100 film in about 5m visibility.
Now thats what makes this shot amazing... amazing!
Johannes you must have been seriously happy when you got your negs back! well done boet.

Unusual photo yes, but can you see the love?

You are a genius, Luck and all has nothing on this photo. All the coments on the lack of colour are derrogatory to both the underwater environment and this image.
This shot is timing genius particularly with that camera!

It reminds me of semi petrified Mutumaiyu wood (African wild olive) from the Masai mara. I love this type of detail, and with the grain of the wood blended into the photo grain.
I guess I am a tree hugger at heart.

Dark skinned animals... bright african skies and this was at dawn! is
there any solution to creating an image where these skies and these
animals can be viewed together?

Foot Safaris mean getting up close to nature. My Clients planned photo series was for a Black and white shot of an elephant with Kilimanjaro in the background. Here we have the elephants

When Slide film is exposed perfectly, the results are outstanding.
Projected this must be breath-taking.
I am very impressed with how close you can get to these birds, all your shots are really great, keep working them.
