  1. Hello. I'm not normally a fan of digitally manipulated photography, but I just discovered

this technique and I am really getting attached to the feeling I can create and the painterly

affect I get. I feel as if I am able to take my photos to the next level and make them a work

of art instead of just a snap shot. Please view my other "photo art" additions too.

    Comments greatly appreciated.

  2. This kinda shows what you can do with a very basic set up. This is regular spot lights

bought from Home Depot and then diffused through tissue paper. Simple black cloth

bought from a fabric store and a 28mm lens. Comments appreciated.

This is an un-cropped photo. You can see the edges of the negative around the

photo. I need some feedback to tell me whether this is a great capture or if it is just a

blurry rider on a bike. I really like the photo though. Especially the fact that I caught

this guy perfectly out the window of my car and the fact that he is just blurry enough

to show his motion but not so much that you lose detail. Anyway, feedback is

welcome. Canon EOS Elan 7, Kodak C-41 Black and White

  3. Very nice image. I love the split contrast between the light and dark portions of the image. I'm wondering if you could give us some information about how you achieved the exposure in this image with such extreme light and dark. You have nice detail in the dark and the lighter areas are not blown out. Please post your advice or email me directly. Keep up the good work.

This is a beautiful and stark image. Very... innocent, yet hot and sexy. This woman has the perfect figure. One that is considered art. I would love to see more! Photos of her that is.
  4. I don't agree that it has too much contrast. This image caught me from across the room. Very striking and I believe that the photo wouldn't be as strong without the drama that the black and white contrast creates. I would consider cropping it in a little on the right side though. There is some weird balance thing that is sucking me into the blank black space. Halfway between the right edge and her hat would be perfect for me. Nice photo.

Thank you! That is very cool and I like the cropping. I kinda like the negative black space though in the original image for some reason. I kinda suggests the unknown. The blurring effect is cool too. I'm trying to stay true to my photos and not manipulate them too much. I'm wondering if you would actually be able to blur the background like you did with a lens or is it too close? Anyone have any suggetions? Thanks again. Nice treatment...

Hello. I recently shot my wife in her 9th month of pregnancy. I have two full rolls of

images that I feel are amazing but obviously I am blind to them. This is one of my

favorites. I'm wondering if someone could let me know if this image is as amazing as I

believe and if not please offer suggetions on how to improve. Thank you for your

    comments in advance.
