Minolta XG-M, Shutter blocked in Sony/Minolta Posted July 18, 2003 Hi, is there anybody with information or experience regarding a XG-M with a blocked shutter. The problem looks like after the advance lever was activated, it is impossible to release the shutter. Something seems to block it. Or is it maybe an electronic problem? I know that some of the X-300 and X-700 cameras have similar problems and that in those cases a replacement of several capacitors was the solution. By the way, I have a copy of a service manual for the X-370 (US- version). Does anybody know, if this manual could be used for the XG- M too, at least in several details? Is there a way to get a copy of an XG-M service manual without paying for it. I know it is a bunch of questions, but I realy would like to repair the old lady. I am a mechanic, so I think I can handle the mechanical part of the problem, but I won´t start working on the electronic stuff, before having some detailed information. Thanks in advance for information. Juergen
