So, now they are at it again (two new auctions coming up) They now hardly declare the functionality of the items Except 'seems to be a nice.....' And yet mis-label items, e.g. a 'Leicameter MR4' that was never anything like that (for more reasons)

-

Well, in reality the transaction costs (auction fee, hammer whatever and shipment) AND back again steals a lot/the bargain. PROBLEM is that these people are not honest!

-

After receiving the lots I won at their 39th auction (SEP 2011) I, once again, found defective or sub-standard items compared to their descriptions
Looking back at my previous activities (1st lot won at Auction 33, JUN 2009) I see a systematic discrepancy between descriptions and items’ condition; always in the favor of LP. E.g. lately a defective Leicameter MR, a Leica M1 with vulcanite damages not mentioned in LP’s description, and a loaded Hasselblad film back, which documents that their descriptions are poetry not based upon examination
Stay away (if you can’t inspect before bidding)

SO, your old lens performs better on a small supermarket negative than a Hassselblad?

-

Sorry, no
It's below my standards to start a new one on " do the M8 and M9 take such batteries?"

Now, I know why Leica PN is dead

Re: given its price.
Seems that you are on another planet!

Re There have been a couple of new updates in just the last two weeks.
Where?

The OP still asleep?

I had it installed since the late sixties, and always preferred it
One big advantage is that you dont have to "manage" the bottom plate, cartridge, spool and camera w. one hand standing there on a suspended bridge somewhere in Borneo (or elsewhere)

-
-

As the spool has only one slit, you have to turn it so it faces the direction where your film comes out (wtw the rails and back plate). And the spool must be removed to reset the M3 (the chrome dingy is just the handle facilitating this. (If you dont like it, pls make an offer to torben AT daltoft DOT dk))

The slowdown of the Leica forum is primarily a result of the competing forums (LUF) being better

@Steve S: Oh boy! And why so agressive?

150000 M4-2 cameras???!!!

Yawn!

Re "and look into the camera's normal viewfinder": Why? Actually, the auto setting of the M7 and later Ms is a HUGE advantage when it comes to VISOFLEX (as is a Motor/autowind when shooting long lenses)

Seems to me that all you need is a Lumix LX3

-

Have the LX3 at app. half the price, and it has a shutter lag --but not as serious af the Canon G9 (that I sold because of that); the Lumix' is bearable

M7 and a Summaron 2.8
