Adam, this one was taken at 19:47 on 7/31, La Jolla, south to the Children's Pool, near Cuvier St:) I saw a lady taking picture of the bird and sunset...a gentleman was with her:)

Lalit, many thanks for your detailed comments! This is a single exposure for about 5 min...still underexposed so I used Photoshop auto level to bring it back and thus got this interesting color. The major light source is from a street lamp on the left, giving a golden color on the rock.

Aleks, my picture was taken after Kevin's "Solitude". This place is very popular in San Diego, and very photogenic. I'd been there 2-3 times before but never seen that kind of colors in Kevin's photo. His photo inspired me to go there again:) It's also a cloudy day but after a 5-min exposure I got this picture: the colors and those 2 birds made a different mood.
Rick, I'll visit there again and again till I get a handful collection of different moods:)))
