    America's Pastime?

If you're talking about the visible lines in the lower half of the print, it is actually the netting behind the home plate area to protect the fans from stray foul balls. The Portland Sea Dogs are a minor league team, and the stadium is not big enough to get above the netting from this angle. I may try and move to a different part of the stadium next time...I'm learning about scanning for quality here, and keeping the image below 100kB... ;) Thanks for the comment!

What is happening to sports in America today? Are sports in other

countries heading down this road, where it's not about the fun, but

how much money you can make?

This is one of my first attempts at a picture with a "message." Is

the message clear? Do you get the same message that I get? Or am I

perpetuating the problem by giving the companies shown here "free

    advertising?" Your thoughts are welcome!

  1. Not to sure what's going on in the lower right hand corner of the frame here, is that water spilling down another statue? It takes away from what strikes me as a simplistic image (NOT that the technique is simplistic, but the semi-calm waters and smoothness in the female statue make for a simple subject - the foreground object adds a level of chaos that ruins this shot for me).
  2. On this Christmas morning, I skiied the same run 10 or 12 times

before seeing another human being on the mountain. This is the

Kansas trail, which connects Jordan Bowl to the rest of the mountain.
