I like it. The only thing that I would have tried to change was the branch in front of her dress. I love her expression - it's so natural - and the conversion. Pretty!

I like him! I just added him to my favorites so I can go back and check him out. His work is very romantic.

I bring my G10 and act like a guest - it's fun! I make people get together and do cheesy things, I take pictures of dumb/random things, etc... It clears all the cobwebs out for the real thing! :)

$700???!!! That is extremely high for a second shooter...

From the list of options that you are wanting I'd say that Leather Craftsmen would be your best bet. The quality is superior to the other companies mentioned and the folded panoramics and black gilding are exactly what you are looking for.

Spot color can still be cool if done right. My biggest pet peeve with it nowadays is that people don't desaturate the colored part a little so it looks like someone puked all over the picture instead of just giving it a little editing love...

Jonathan Canlas is based in Utah and shoots film. He travels. He rocks.

There is plenty of time for them to find a $500 photographer. I wouldn't touch this wedding with a ten ft (or longer) pole. Neither of the parties value you or your business. Walk away. No - RUN away!!!

How could I choose just one??? :)

I schedule enagement shoots at whatever time of day is convenient for the couple and myself. You can find good light anywhere, during anytime of day. Don't squash yourself into the 'golden hour' thing. Learn to find good light. It'll make your life so much easier...

What a joke. It's almost funny, but not quite...

I agree - sometimes 30 is waaaay too many. :)

-

20-30. They only need one great image. Why overload them with less than stellar images? Too many just dilutes the whole session. I don't think your style of photography has much to do with it.

I'd save it too. When you have $3000 you can talk about a new lens...

Well, I get them all the time, but this was the first one that had come through weddingwire.com...
I just tell them I charge $100,000 and they usually go away. :)

Just got this today and I know people on other forums have mentioned them using wedding wire as well. Just pay attention to the language, improper puncuation, etc. All scammers. This one came from weddingwire...

And we wonder why the industry is in the state it's in...

Hahahaha! hehehe! You guys are too funny. It must be the name... ;) IMHO I think it's a good thing from our stand point. Meaning professional photgraphers running legitimate businesses who actively market, network and participate.
My brides haven't ever even heard of Bella. I think Bella is on their way out...

For my own sanity I wouldn't book a wedding more than 12 months in advance. Too many things can change in two years.

Blurb, My Publisher, etc. are consumer quality books. They rip, tear and generally fall apart in no time. I would be careful calling myself a professional photographer if I was offering my clients these types of books.
Look into Asuka book - still a coffee table style album, but the pages are a bit thicker and the overall quality is higher. I use Leather Craftsmen. Sometimes for lower end packages/I'm throwing in the book for one reason or another, I'll get an album from Miller's.

Hmmm... kind of like wedplan, onewed, theknot, wedding wire, etc??? Not worth the time and effort...

I've never heard of this...
