  1. The shutter works well, the problem is the exposure metering (in my first message is not very clear, forgive me. If I point a camera against light, the metering works well and indicates a "+" when I put the ring at 1/2 sec. it changes at "-", in the same position when the metering is turned off "without life signal".

I hope to be more clear.

    Thanks all for the answer.

  2. I've got from a parents a Nikkormat FT3.

I've a problem: the exposure system works well at all time except for

1 and 1/2 sec. When I choose this time it doesn't work, no life

    signal.

Someone can help me? It's a battery problem or something else?

    Thanks all.

  3. You must buy the 180mm/2.8, it's a great lens, the best Nikkor I have.

For a standard zoom I prefer the Tokina 28-70 (an Angenieux design), you can also try to find in used market the Angenieux 35-70/2.5-3.3 MF, but is quite rare and expensive. Best regards Giuseppe

  4. I have an FE10 and my first approach with this wasn't good. I buyed new before starting for Bretagne, and after 2 days-life, it stop shuttering at Mont Saint-Michel. So I've to buyed in France an used Nikkormat FT3. When I came back in Rome I send it to repairs and they give me another one new, because it was not repairable. The new one have not given any kind of problem. The camera is very light, and this is good for travel, but it isn't a Nikon but a Cosina!! I've sended the zoom with FE10, it isn't a Nikon lens and it was very warm. You can buy a 50f1.8 (the AF version is better than AI) an 24f2.8 (Ai version) and tele 180f2.8 (the best lens Nikon have made). You can substitute the 50 with a standard zomm 28/35-70/80, but I prefer the 50 because it have an f1.8

    Bye
