  1. Regarding the quality? I've used the lens a couple of times. The color rendition seems to be better than the Sigma equivalent and if you can afford the Bigma, 50-500, that would be a better buy but that's double the cost. The Tokina matches up and is better than the sigma. Best bang for your buck
  2. Hi Guys,

I just bought CompuTrekker from Lowepro and am very happy with its

build quality. But I think the computrekker it too much for a simple

day trip and a bag where I can hide my camera equipment. I'm currently

looking at the Lowepro Linx 320 as it looks by far the most urban and

unnoticable bag around. Have anyone had any experience with this bag?

    Thank you!

  3. Hi,

There is a new Subpak flash that support E-TTL, I was just informed by Sunpak. It's the Sunpak PZ 40X. So far, I think only Adorama has it. I'm still contemplating on buying that, or the Sigma DG Super or wait till my money comes, next year probably after slaving at couple of jobs, and afford a 550EX.

  4. What's a ST-E2? Does anyone know the actualy fact that the Sigma's AF helps the AF by twice the distance? I'm not so concerned with the AF points, if it's only in the center, I guess I'll just have to recompose often for my night photography. But i'm interested in the Sigma, does anyone have any idea's ? Some people told me that the Canon Assist AF lamp for the 550EX is better. Which is?
  5. I'm not interested in using the flash for my night photography, I' just was concerened with the D60's weak AF in low light. So I was considering about investing in the flash unit because I have heard from photographers that the Af lamp on the flash is better than the one on the camera. So it just boils down to which AF assist lamp is better? The one on the 420EX or the 550EX? Thanks!
  6. Hey guys,

As I try to venture out into night photography, I was wondering if

adding a flash to my Canon D60 will enhance low light AF. If so, which

flash unit should I buy? Does any make a difference? I shoot landscape

and somewhere in between portraits of trees and nature. The only

choices I have now is the 420 EX and the 550 EX, is there a difference

    between af assist? Thanks!

  7. I have recently asked a similar question and the folks here managed to convince me to get a 1.4 version. It's simply better and after reading several reviews, I chose the 1.4 simply because

    1. Better Built

    2. FTM

    3. Low Noise

    4. Better bokeh

    5. Extra stop

  8. Well, for those who want rubbery grip on their big ed, try this:

I tried doing those for a couple of times for a few classmates to who came up with an idea, take those black rubber duct tapes that have black plastic, almost rubbery surface and carefully wrap the area of hold which you see fit neccesary. Perhaps that might help abit.

  9. Hi!

Ever since I' started doing night photography for the last four

months, I find myself loving night photography more and more. But for

the past few weeks I can't keep myself from wondering whether I would

be robbed or mugged at gun point if I keep continuing doing so. Does

having a second hand owned Canon EOS D60 keep me from buying an

insurance? I have been reading the threads and was thinking of getting

myself one before my D60(s) get robbed from me. I'm only a student and

already I'm living on the edge with my photography equipment. Which

also means I can't afford to replace them anymore. I just need

coverage on theft and perhaps damage? If insurance is possible, how

about lenses? Are second hand lenses also covered? Thanks for the advice!

    Regards,

    Wern Huan Yam.
