1. Hi,

It's mostly like slide film although there are some advantages on digital depending on your subject:
-You can view the histogram after each shot.
-You can shoot many brackets.
-There is the option of adjusting the exposure compensation during RAW conversion.
-If you're shooting still images (using tripod) you can blend multiple brackets in one image, extending the dynamic range of the sensor.
Here are some tutorials on exposure blending:
Cheers,

  2. Hi,

There is also YarcPlus RAW converter for Canon cameras (see PixTool index below in the converters category).
The workflow with RAW files is pretty easy:
-Select source and destination folders.
-Select the files that will be converted from the preview window.
-Adjust conversion parameters through the options your converter supports (Exposure Compensation, Saturation, Contrast, WB, Sharpening .etc) for *each file separately*.
-Hit the convert button and go for a coffee if you've got many files.
- Burn a CD or DVD with your RAW files for your archives.

Some tutorials here:
3. Hi,

Information that can be embedded in a digital image:

- ITPC info. Holds the caption, copyright, title, author etc.
- EXIF info. Holds the camera settings, date, image number etc. It's automatically created from your camera.

More details here:
www.pixtool.com/Default.asp?CategoryID=109

Some specialized tools for editing the ITPC or EXIF data:
www.pixtool.com/Default.asp?CategoryID=65

This data may be stripped out during image editing, for example the 'save for web' option in PS.

Cheers,
