Sadly, it was not intended, but I can see it too. Maybe it's Frank from Donnie Darko...

I like the abstract feel of this image.

Hi all. Constructive comments please.

Thank you.

Those brambles sure do get everywhere :)

You have a good eye for a photo and no mistake. This one is simple, but I love it. Framed on my wall it would look great.

I was pleased with the natural, horizontal and diagonal forms in this
image, but it was origionally in colour. Black and white helped the
shapes stand out a bit more. Interested in how it looks to a more
trained eye.

I would like to have had the tree further to the left, but alas to the right is a massive wandering bramble bush, so it was a non starter.
Thanks for your comments.

One of my first attempts using slide film (Fuji Velvia 50). Not the
nicest of trees, but I did my best. Any comments?

Have a look and let me know what you think. As is the case with most
people, ratings are nice but comments are much more helpful.
Thanks

I like the image, and the depth of field, but for me it's a bit too green (not your fault of course). Shame it wasn't a carpet of spring flowers. Good shot though.

I love the pure white of the Heron against the oppresive sky. I was a pic screaming to be taken, and you did. Nice.
-
I know it's all been done before, but I was pleased with the way this
one turned out. Any comments are very welcome.

Very nice shot. I would like to have taken a close up on just the hand and wilted rose too (which maybe you did). Could photoshop the clock face out too, but that would be naughty.
-
I love the picture but personally would have got rid of the foreground and cropped it tighter on the right giving it a more abstract feel. Whatever, it's a great shot.

This is indeed a classic shot and none the worse for it. Would black and white have been better? I'm not sure, but I love the almost water-painting feel of this shot. When can I move in ?
-
I know that one of the bathers is your son, but I would have shouted at them to move :) Great pic though. I would like to have seen a bit more of the beach huts and a bit less sand, but I understand that family comes first.
-
But, I would prolly lose the foreground cliff and maybe even go for a completely square format. Even without that, it's a great picture and I want to dive on in.

How was it acheived? I think it's lovely and could rate it highly on that basis, but would like to know exactly how you did it. I'll prolly rate it anyway, but give us some info :)
Thanks
