    Reflections

This is generally a problem with Photography. What your eyes see, the camera can not see. I am sure that you saw more in this scene that prompted you to take this photo. I would not be surprised if you said that you saw more than what this picture depicts. I have a feeling that if this was taken at a higher shutter speed, then you might have eliminated the fog like appearance of the reflection and might have got a better picture. If you observe, water is crystal clean and there is very less turbulence. Light is able to pass through and bounce back too. This would have surely allowed you to take this picture at a higher shutter speed. Try this and you would be amazed at the clarity and beauty of the shallows!
  1. Hi,

I was wondering how do we get rid of this tilting effect that shows up on the pics? When one uses a wide angle and is taking pics of vertical buildings or cliffs, the edges seem to tilt at an angle! how do we correct this?

Overall, this pic is a good one though :)

    thanks,

    Hi james,

I suppose you are suggesting prime lenses... well I do agree to what you are saying. Seems like they provide an extra stop of exp :) Thanks for bringing this up!

    thanks,

  2. I disagree with Julian. If I am not wrong, Abdul wanted to display a comparison of time, where in the modern giant wheel is there as well as in the silhouette, old church/architecture is visible. I tried to re-compose the image a bit and you can see the diff it makes by reducing the sky line Please let me know what do you feel?

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for the feedback. Will keep these in mind! I do understand the need for a faster lens and the neg! Probably I will next buy a Lens, Tripod and Fuji NPZ 800 negs!

    thanks again!

    Hi,

First let me thank Steve Mirarchi for providing tutorial in photo.net

(http://www.photo.net/concerts/mirarchi/concer_i). I had no idea about

concert photography and this is my first humble try to photograph a

concert. The pictures in this folder are taken without flash and

completely following the guidelines provided by Steve Mirarchi!

Please see all the pictures present in this folder and provide your

feedback. I would really appreciate any comments/suggestions that all

    of you have to make.

    thanks,

It would have been good, had you opted to keep the camera still, and decreased the shutter speed. This would have provided motion effect to her hand, while the face of the cuban girl would have come clean. It is a good idea to pan for objects/people that are in motion, rather than for a part of them are in motion! what do you say?
