I had trouble with the scanner, making it darker than the slide really is. So I
had to adjust in photo shop and lost some quality in the highlights. How's my
composition though?

I know its a bad time of day for this subject matter, but how do you
like it despite that?

Does this convey the mood of fog well? Any comments appreciated.

Does the lack of detail in the snow detract from the overall image at
all?

Alec, thanks for your comments. I did take a look at your photos, very nice collection. I'd love to visit those locations sometime.

Some of the shadows in front of her are a bit confusing, maybe a different angle such as closer to the ground could have helped.

This is a different print of the same negative as one of the other
photos in this foler. This is not as contrasty as the first one, but
it gives more detail. To me it looks a lot more like what I saw when
I took the photo. Do you get the sense of it being mid-morning here?
-
Or is it not abstract enough? The image is of the inside of back off
a pine tree. I think later I'll try printing this with more contrast.
This one was printed with a 3.5 polycontrast filter.

Thanks for the comments.
So seeing more of the river upstream might be a better angle? There is a tree in the original shot, but it was too dark so I cropped it out. Should have used a green filter to help bring it out of the brown background it is against. And maybe that rock could have been used better if not at all.
All of the prints you see in my folder are from Ilford Pan F Plus ISO 50 film processed in D-76. I made the prints the good ole fashion way using an enlarger and a darkroom. But the prints are then scanned with a cheap flatbed scanner. But I've never noticed a green cast to any of them.

Does this image seem like its missing something? This is a cropped
down version of the original. The original is in the same folder as
this one. How could I have framed this better? Any comments
appreciated.

What can be improved here?

I like this photo a lot, but do you?

What could be better about this?

Please ignore the fact that it isn't really sharp because I forgot my
tripod at home!
