Please critique anyone. I know there is a piece of wheat over her

chin but I had to play hide-and-seek to get this shot as she kept

    popping up from below.

    Thanks.

I took this while backpacking with my daughter last spring. This

little guy just landed in front of me while we were hiking down the

trail. I keep my camera with a 24-85 macro lens in a chest pack so I

was able to get it out and take a few shots before it flew away.

Comments, suggestions please. Thanks very much.

I know this looks like a typical on location portrait; that's because

it is. Although, I would like any comments or suggestions on posing,

lighting, etc. as I've been trying more of this type of portrait

    lately. Thanks.

Resubmitted with smaller framing around image. Any comments or

suggestions are appreciated. I took this in Hoist Lakes Foot Travel

Area in Michigan while backpacking with my daughter.

I submitted this last week but had several suggestions that my frames

around my images were a little to much so I removed it that same day.

I've since toned my frames down and would love to get some honest

critiques on COMPOSISTION and TECHNIQUE.Thanks for any suggestions.

Stefan, I love how the three shades of light draw you into the lower middle were the childs expression is and the lack of distractions in the background. Well done. 7/7 7/7

I don't expect much of a rating on originality but this was my first

attemp at a studio type shot inside. I used a single flash bounced

off a white ceiling. Since this shot I've started using two flash

heads, umbrellas, and various reflectors. I'm looking for critique on

    composition and lighting. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind comments. You're right about the distration. I was in a hurry and didn't notice it. Should have cropped a little more. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll use a better eye next time. Thanks.

My son is always doing something silly. Every once in a while I have

my camera ready. This isn't a setup and composed image. We were just

setting up camp and I had about ten seconds before he was on to

something else. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

  1. I love how the light and mist in the background creates a shaded layered look. I also agree on the golden light on the arches below the bridge; it draws you into the image while the people on the bridge give it conclusion. The soft reflection of the bridge also helps fill in the large area of water in the forground to give it balance. I keep wanting to look at this picture. Great job.
