The vulcanite on my otherwise mint Leica M4 is slowly coming adrift and I'm thinking of replacing it with something less friable. Has anyone had this done by Leica and, if so, what options are there? What looks and feels best?

Many thanks, David

I am considering buying a Summicron 35mm ASPH - it is in mint condition but the lens hood (12526) is missing. Will there be any problems using the slotted round lens hood (12585) from my much older 50mm Summicron?
Thanks, David

Is there one lens shade which will fit Hasselblad (bayonet) CF 50/80/150 lenses?
Thanks, David

Can anyone recommend a very small bag for a Leica M9 + 35mm Summicron with lens hood?
I'm looking for something to protect the camera whilst travelling (not an 'ever-ready' case) - something well made but inconspicuous.
Thanks, David

My M3 has lost a very small piece (1mm x 2mm) of vulcanite adjacent
to the 'rewind' lever on the front of the camera. What is the best
way to repair this, please? David

Is it possible to fit early (F2AS vintage)lenses on to a Leica M3? Is
there an adapter? Still available? Thanks David

Please can someone tell me what cell (battery) is used in the
Leicameter MR-4. Are they still available? If not, what are the
alternatives? Thanks

Please can someone tell me if the 'First Series' (~mid-nineties)
Titanium finish lenses are the same shade/colour as the 'Second
Series' (~2001/2) lenses? In particular, do the 'later' Titanium
lenses match the earlier bodies? Thanks.
-
Sandy: Thanks, do you know if they are obtainable in the UK?

Do Leica still supply 'eyesight correction viewfinder lenses' for
the M6?
If not, what are the alternatives. I am in the UK. Thanks.

This may seem a daft question but which eye do most people use for
viewing through the M6? My reason for asking is that fading of the
right hand vertical framelines appears to be less of a problem when I
use my left eye!

Again, many many thanks to all of you for your very helpful comments -I was beginning to think that I had be hoodwinked into buying a 'pup'!
If anyone can point me to a more detailed description of the TiN coating process used by Leica I would be very interested to read it.

How durable/scratch resistant is the Titanium finish on the first
series M6 bodies/lenses? I have been told that it can be removed
with a pencil eraser? Blimey!
