  1. Nice! But I have couple of points/questions..

Is this a composite of city and moon ?

the exposure level of moon and the exposure time (to get the vehicle streaks) dont seem to match.. if it is a about 20 second exposure, I would think there will be streaking of moon..

    Very nice effect though!

Matt DelSesto had pointed out a change for this pic ( red cube

should be visible through the top cube.) I have tried that using

PS.. :) I wanted a sin city-ish feel for the image..

    Thanks for the rating/critque.

Saw this scene while taking a stroll near townlake in Austin. This

image is stitched from 3 images to capture the dramatic sky. Does

this image work for you or is it too noisy? I metered by averaging

the value at the brightest portion of the sky and bridge..

    Please critique.

    Thanks

nice! Infact It looks like the hind legs are actually the forelimbs!! Only the DOF made me realize the actual shape!! Nice alienish looking gecko..

Thanks Krister. Coming from you , this is a real compliment. You are among the best macro (if not the best) photographer I know. You are right that the plane of focus could have been a bit closer.. But for some reason, It looked ok through the view finder and reasonably sharp in the "raw" format image.. (one of) The main mistake I did was that I didnt spot meter it correctly, and my center weighted meter unexposed the fly significantly as the fly was on a white surface.. Hopefully I should do better next time. Thanks again.

Hi abdullah, you are right about the DOF.. I had

shot this at about f/16 in 1:1 macro.. and

then I do have one at f/32, but the DOF did not

extend all the way to the wings even at f/32.

and also, I couldnt get more shots as it flew away after few shots.... Thanks again for the ratings/critque.
