I just have been in Paris. While I am sure this has been posted before, someone might still be
interested:

It is in a vitrine at the Foundation.

careful. Europeans reading this forum. ;):)

muha, no. 2 is just great. ;):)

I'm 30. First Leica was a R6 a year ago.

Let's all buy whatever off brand lenses we wish, but let's discuss them on another
forum, not on the Leica forum!! O.K.?

No, not OK. ;)
Could someone please clarify the description of those voigtlaender lenses? what is a "mc"
compared to a classic or pancake, is there a huge difference between pI and II and why the
hell i can't find an ebglish or german website where all this is clarified? Only the japanese
site seems to carry some content, but....you bet I don't get a word. ;)

I am looking for a "third party" 35mm because of the reasons Stephen and John already
pointed out.
-
Thank you all very much. Very helpful. It seems one can't make a huge mistake with this
lens.
-
Hi!
Subject line tells what I would like to know. I am looking for an 35mm lens addition to my
summicron 50.
Anyone with experience with this voigtlander lens or who can point me to reviews etc.?
thanks!

In the manual it says:

exposure metering does not work with:
Hologon f8/15
Super-Angulon f4/21
Super-Angulon f3.4/21
Elmarit f2.8/28
up to serial 2314921.

The summicron with close focusing f2/50 must be set to infinity during fitting/
removal.

cheers, Markus

I usually get very different ratings for my pictures. For the bad ones with no comment, I
have a look at what the rater liked by looking in his "highest ratings by this member"
pictures.
Take Joe Shander, e.g., he loves flower pics. If there is a flower, it is minimum a 6/6 for
him. Also nudes semm to go pretty well for him. After seeing that, I don't mind anymore if
somebody like that rates my pictures low. It is obvious he will do so.

Thank you all again for advices. I now was able to buy a summicron, a newer version from
1985, in very good condition, with lens hood and original box, for 502$.
-
Here I now have a pic of it, also price changed to 599 EUR. What do you think?
Lutz, thanks for your advice. There are not a lot 'crons on ebay right now, one will finish
the next few days. I'll wait and see for that one and then decide, although I may take the
risk the Leica Bei Meister lens will be gone by then. I'll see.

Of course this is a misprint! I just found this and found it funny so I posted. ;) The world
here is not THAT bad.

Well, refering to my latest thread LINK, of course I compare prices of camers and lenses in
Europe. Just to give you an image of the situation, this is what I just found in an online
shop:
-
Ah well ... ok ... now ...?
that starts to depress me....
Any Europeans here who want to comment on the price? ;)
-
ah, I was too fast ... sorry ;):):)
-
Actually, I have about 20 photos and, taken together, I think they say much more than
any single one.

If you have the time, why not set up a presentation here on photo.net in your galleries? I
think this event is pretty interesting and this shot looks like you did some good shooting.
-
sorry, used current version in B sells for 899EUR.
-
I think about the price, too. It is the cheapest on the list. Compare:

650,- for that one, same version of 50/2 in better condition: 695,-.
with serial 2609*** 699.-.
same for 3357***, up to 800.- for current version in b-condition.

And so on...(all is EURO, of course)
The only ones that go for around 300-500 EURO depending on condition are the
collapsible or rigid versions.
-
Thank you Rob. Actually it is sold by LEICA BEI MEISTER in germany and the price is higher
than what you suggest here. In $ around 770$! It is delivered with lens hood and should
be technically perfect. Signs of usage on the outside only. Maybe more like C than B.
They also have newer version, but they sell for even more. What do you think?
