  1. Carl, this is a Plus-X exposure taken under harsh lighting. It is not a color original. What I like about it is the contrast emphasizes the cold feeling of winter.

I love your autumn shot of the falls. It really gives a nice tranquil warm mood compared to my cold harsh mood.

Do you have any photos of Buttermilk Falls? I have never photographed it.

  2. Peter, I so very much wanted to shoot the scene with some Pan F or FP4/Plus-X. But I only had HP5 left in 120 at the time. I could have gone to 1/250 but would have been at min aperture of f/22 and I try to avoid min aperture when possible. Whether or not that is a big deal with Bronica 6x7 lenses, time will tell. But I am so used to old 35mm habits.

I do plan to reshoot with PanF in a few weeks but since there is more foliage now, I doubt I can duplicate the EXACT scene.

  3. Guillermo, very nice shot. I too enjoy photographing an old gas station about 15minutes from where I live, but it is somewhat restored. This photograph of yours truly captures the old 1940s era very well. Was the picture taken along Route 66?

Once again, great photo. It truly captures the time period very well.

    Cat.

There are gazillions of pet photos out there but this one has a couple qualities that I like. First off, being in black and white adds to the appeal because it makes one notice the overall form and composition. Second, the cat's expression is one of puzzlement. All in all, a well done photo of an all too common subject.
