I have a Nikon D80 and have been thinking about buying me a wide lens.
I have been looking at the Tokina AT-X 17 AF PRO
(http://www.thkphoto.com/products/tokina/afl-01b.html)which is out of
production, but still available in asia and the Tokina AT-X 124 AF PRO
(http://www.thkphoto.com/products/tokina/afl-00b.html).
I will use the lens for landscape, street and travel shooting. Which one should
i buy? Which one is sharpest? How is AF speed on these two?
Could really need some input from you people who have tried these lenses.
Regards.
Mikael

Hi, thanks for all the great answers.
Hiro: Okay, that sounds great.
Michael: I checked the reviews and it looks like the 17mm has hardly no Vignetting, better CA and Distortion values than the 12-24mm. On the other hand the 12-24mm seems to be a bit sharper.
Dave: Okay, thats strange, accordingly to the reviews at Photozone it should have less CA than the 12-24mm. You dont happen to have an example picture to show me?
Bill: I have not thought about the sigma lens, will have a look on it.
Peter: Yes, have also heard that the tokinas are built really solid. Regarding Sigma, dont they have a more plastic feel overall?
