I just satisfied a long term desire to own a Hasselblad. I got a 501C. Any tips on its use? Is there a

sportsfinder around for this model?

Well you certainly didn't get the answer, ie., some basic information. I'm not sure either, sometimes I think its just for geeks to have a discussion over. (But I wonder if they've acturally ever taken a photograph.) The top photographers in my club use it - the RAW business. So I do too. Somehow I guess it makes a picture better, though not to my discernibility. It takes a lot of time, I know that - and uses up the chip faster!<p>

My general thought is that the makers of the camera have done a lot of thinking; and what they've established as automatic - who am I to argue?

It seems to be a case of instant gratification. The sad part is that the way of

the old family album - to view by succeding generations - will go poof as the

digital files get lost or the next technology negates the ability to view them. I'm

with you - good old rangefinders. Mine is a Contax G2.
