That's very kind sir, thank you. Pity I cannot get it to display in spite of beling below 511 pixels. Anyone tell me what the trick is? Maciek

Sorry, I'm learning. Another try?

Another square one

This may be old news for some, but I stumbled upon the page linked below by
pure accident after many google searches and a ton of refusals from camera
repairmen. Looks relatively simple and I'm going to give it a try in the
nearest future. Yes, I know Hexar AF is neither a Leica or a rangefinder, but
then again is as close as it gets to both and there seems to be no better forum
for this post. Sorry. And I do love my M3:) Maciek

Thanks a lot, Rob. I'll give it a try. And actually you've answered my question within two hours of my posting it. Thanks again, Maciek

My m3 focuses way past infinity as well. Seems someone bent something when enabling it to close focus to 70cm. Rob or anyone, can you explain [in very simple words or aided by a drawing or two] how I can fix this by myself? There seem to be no competent Leica techs in Poland I could take the camera to [the last one just aligned infinity making focus unreliable at close distances. Genius, right?].I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks, Maciek

Sorry. Once again

I've been given a summaron 3.5 with no scratches, cleaning marks etc [along with a iia and an Elmar which in turn had been cleaned to death]. I shot a few rolls with it and the results were horrible [not sharp, very poor contrast - at all apertures] Upon close inspecion with a flashlight I found only some very very mild haze. The physical condition of the lens barrel is perfect. And the moral? With lenses that old don't buy anything before testing.

Tried to google his site but no success. Works still unpublished, it seems

Spyros,
I think I've got a solution [at least for my r200]. As the guys at the Polish helpdesk were completely ignorant and laughed at the very idea of printing photos with black only, I contacted Epson US and asked them whether BO is possible on the machine. The answer was - sure, just pick "black ink only" in your driver. My driver [Euro version] didn't have such option, so I though - let's give a try to the U.S version and downloaded the latest from the Epson U.S. site. Guess what? The "black ink only" checkbox is there and it works. Hope it's the same with the r800. Maciek

I'm having the same problem with the low end r200. It seems there is no black ink only setting. As it seems Epson are willing to accept drivers for other models, I'll be trying out 1290 and 2200 drivers shortly to see what happens. I'll post if any luck. Maciek
