A manipulated original photograph. Done in PS 7.0.
-
Two reasons for my rating: 1) Picture needs to be straight, crop, rotate...do something to level the horizon; 2) better focus - a shot like this needs to be very sharp to give the full impact of the architectural elements. The colouring is good and you have captured the early morning light.

I love flower pics

Question an artist's vision at your peril! I did and I have to think the version with the cut off feet is the stronger of the two.

Excellent

Again, superb colours (especially the green background) and fantastic motion.

I'm thinking threes across the board, Bob (sorry, Bill). I'm deducting 1 point off aesthetics though for spelling leaves wrong.

Without a doubt the original is the best depiction. If any type of border treatment was to be considered it should be ragged and torn...

Another great shot. I would experiment with slightly more contrast (key word being experiment because maybe you already have).
No cropping required as the farmhouse isn't the only purpose behind this photo. Showing more of the landscape emphasizes the isolation and loneliness. Maybe at one time it was a warm and vibrant situation with a house full of family. One thinks that prior to abandonment there would likely only be one person left living there - so the scene to me echoes with poignancy.
Either that or there is a freeway 60' to the left of the picture :).

Excellent job, it does look like an early photo excepting the slight colouring visble in the grass and path area at the bottom - which further enhances the image.
Only quibble I have is the frame does not suit the image perfectly.
-
I like the composition, lighting and effects on the model a lot. Only quibble is the cropped feet (or lack of them depending on how the photo was taken). On the other hand I'm not sure how else you could have done this and I have been faced with the same issue many times.
Good image.

I went off and looked at Peggy Jones' other comments and criticisms. She is blunt without a doubt but her insights, suggestions and critiques are some of the finest and concise examples on this site.
There are a lot of 0 Uploaders that trash works and move on without really explaining themselves or, worse yet, their careless behaviour sows seeds of doubt in the exhibitor. Peggy isn't one of them.

...that's a pretty rough comment. Upload some pictures so we can see if you know what you are talking about.

Dave, the revised is just plain frightening though it really has it 's charms as a disturbing image.
The original is terrific - too bad about the damage. I'll try to see if anything can be done in PS7 and let you know if the results are acceptable.

Unflattering to the male person. Don't you like men?

Again, hat's off to the Queen of the Titles. No one does that better than you...understated yet completely relevant to the photo...or in this case makes the photo entirely.
By the way; good job.

Great tones on the columns. Nice composition.

Great Title - which on Photo.net is a key element.
Good colours. Would a looser crop lessen the impact?
