This is over the fence. He was stretching and cavorting for about 5 minutes... not usual behavior...

Ken, this was taken at Point Isabel park in Richmond, CA. The Golden Gate Bridge is just to th right of this horizontal view..
-
nice shot w/o the effect
-
Would like to see more of the eyes...

you captured the ever elusive cat, eye off frame says alot about cats. Nice details

I work near here. I like this shot; you've inspired me to give it a go next time I head out for lunch. I like the BW affect ... had been visualizing color here. The BW works!
-
No, you're right ... I shot in direct sunlight at around noon. Intense shadows.
Thanks for the comments. The most constructive comments I've recieved/observed here at photo.net are regards light. I think I've been relying too much on a 'thumbs up' from the auto exposure meter and not enough on mental assessment of conditions ... techno laziness :)
I used to shoot lots of trix B/W film with handheld external meter; it took more work to set up a shot, but having to think usually made the wait more worhtwhile ...

makes me laugh. What great expression!

Thanks.I actualy did too; I think the black frame was my own aknowledment that the shot needed something ... was wondering how others thought. Here's the link to the 'photoshopped' version for comparison. I highlighted the faces a bit by bringing out the color quite a bit...

This is great effect ...

Love this. My dog is happiest when blurry! Nice shot, composition, etc.

This is a nice catch of the 'other' bridge in the SF area ... I allways think this bridge gets overlooked ... ... another poster-worthy shot!
-
Reminds me of a book I read once .... great composite, could see it in a poster shop ...
-
Great shot, at tad big to view for complete effect
-
would like a bit less black at top

Thanks for the comment. I tried to catch the sense of a big cloud of smoke filling street lit by the morning light. The darkness is hard to control on a computer screen. It appears too light on one of my computers, too dark on another. I've been trying to set the brightness/gama, etc, but to no avail. Invariably if I PS on one, and get it just so, it looks bad on another... sigh...
thanks again.

ah, do you have a release form for the fly?
-
I like this. I know it's water and you can't see it, it just works for me!
-
LOL
-
Think the leftward tilt bugs me just a bit... otherwise, I like the colors and the composition
-
Attempt to fix up lighting, crop tighter ...

Thanks all... wish I could have reduced empty space a tadd!
