  1. With all the digital shooters, me being one, do you think there is a market for

just shooting film? Could this help in establishing myself as offering a service

that the competition won't. I have moved to a new town and state and I can see

that I will need to do something different to break into this market. Or do you

think that the generation of today doesn't care if it's digital or film even

though mom and dad is paying? I shoot film also just not at weddings, but I would.

  2. I have just gone back to film for most of my shooting. Mainly BW. I just bought a used Olympus OM4 made around 1987 or so. How many will be buying a D200 or 5D 20 years from now? Make that 3 years from now. I am really enjoying dropping off the film at the lab and letting them do this part, instead of hours on the computer. Not to mention film just looks better. I still shoot digital for weddings but am going to add BW film into the mix. I am tempted to use all film. I have yet to see a BW coverted digital shot that can match film.
  3. I'm sure this has been asked many times. So, sorry but I am looking

for a home scanner to scan my MF negs. I really don't want to spend

more than a $1000. If I see something after scanning that I really

want done better I will take it to a lab.

  4. I have a bad back and was wondering if a mononpod may be the solution.

If you think this may help which one would you or do you use? Model,

brand etc. I know it would have to have a swivel head and a squeeze

grip to release the leg. This would be used for doing my weddings.

  5. I just bought a used 1Dmk11. Haven't recieved it yet. I almost bought a used 1V instead. I too like the looks of film better for weddings but couldn't resist the price of the mk11. Still, I shoot with a EOS 3 and love the look of kodak portra and fuji portra. If the mk11 doesn't cut it then that 1V will be in my bag.
  6. What is the best low light no flash color film to use in a dark

church. I have tried fuji 800 and it looked bad. To dark. If you use

this film what is a general manual setting to make this film work? Or,

what other choices are there. I like to use kodak portra 400 with

flash thru out the whole wedding and reception if possible.
