I have just gone back to film for most of my shooting. Mainly BW. I just bought a used Olympus OM4 made around 1987 or so. How many will be buying a D200 or 5D 20 years from now? Make that 3 years from now. I am really enjoying dropping off the film at the lab and letting them do this part, instead of hours on the computer. Not to mention film just looks better. I still shoot digital for weddings but am going to add BW film into the mix. I am tempted to use all film. I have yet to see a BW coverted digital shot that can match film.

Is the Olympus OM4 a quiet camera. My Minolta x700 has a very loud
shutter sound. Does the Olympus or is it quiet?

What would you say is the best Bessa model and why? I am looking for a
rangefinder and want one that has interchangable lenses. Can't afford
Leica.

I am just curious if anyone on this forum is staying with there older
1D and not buying newer stuff. The shots from the 1D are so good is
there really a good reason to "move up" into the mk11's. Other than
large prints.

I'm sure this has been asked many times. So, sorry but I am looking
for a home scanner to scan my MF negs. I really don't want to spend
more than a $1000. If I see something after scanning that I really
want done better I will take it to a lab.

I am looking for a wide angle for my Hasselblad 500C. Any suggestions?

Just so you know. I shoot with an EOS 3 and 550ex flash. What is matrix and how do you set it? Sorry just never heard that term.
-
How many of you shoot your film camera in P mode when shooting with a
flash at weddings? I know this is not the best but for thoughs fast
moving times during the wedding is this the way to go? Or use Shutter
P instead?

BIG MISTAKE on her part.

On the F10 can you set anything manually?

What is the best way to clean my 1D's sensor?

I have had or still have the 5050, 7070, and 8080. The 5050 is a very good PS camera. The pull out lcd is the key for me. If you do street photography you will like this. It's much better than holding the camera up and out at head level. And your right the lens is very good.

I just bought this 1D and saw this spot. Upper right side. What is this?
-
Yes, The older one were supposed to have some problems. So, I was just wondering at what serial # was the problems fixed. Low activations just meant I was looking for a 1D that wasn't used alot.
-
I want to buy a used 1D. Low activations. I was wondering if the
serial # matters. If so how high should it be and why?
-
I would not use it during the ceremony but only during the reception. That's when my back is the tiredest.
-
I have a bad back and was wondering if a mononpod may be the solution.
If you think this may help which one would you or do you use? Model,
brand etc. I know it would have to have a swivel head and a squeeze
grip to release the leg. This would be used for doing my weddings.

Here are tons of discussions on this. Please do a search and you will get your answer.

I just bought a used 1Dmk11. Haven't recieved it yet. I almost bought a used 1V instead. I too like the looks of film better for weddings but couldn't resist the price of the mk11. Still, I shoot with a EOS 3 and love the look of kodak portra and fuji portra. If the mk11 doesn't cut it then that 1V will be in my bag.

What is the best low light no flash color film to use in a dark
church. I have tried fuji 800 and it looked bad. To dark. If you use
this film what is a general manual setting to make this film work? Or,
what other choices are there. I like to use kodak portra 400 with
flash thru out the whole wedding and reception if possible.

I am thinking about getting a 1V to go with my EOS 3. Is the upgrade
worth it or should I just get another 3. I shoot weddings with my 3
now and 1D.
-
Is it worth buying a used 1V and selling my EOS 3? Is the upgrade big
enough to justify doing this?

I am looking for the fastest shutter speed PS camera. I shoot with a
1D so I know not to look for something that fast. But in a compact PS
do you know the fastest turn on time and lag time camera?
Is there a market for just shooting film?

With all the digital shooters, me being one, do you think there is a market for
just shooting film? Could this help in establishing myself as offering a service
that the competition won't. I have moved to a new town and state and I can see
that I will need to do something different to break into this market. Or do you
think that the generation of today doesn't care if it's digital or film even
though mom and dad is paying? I shoot film also just not at weddings, but I would.
