Please forgive me if this has already been answered, but I couldn't

find it anywhere. Can photos previously submitted for both ratings

and critiques be resubmitted for critiques only without deleting/

resending them, and if so, how? I see no new links anywhere, or maybe

it hasn't been added yet? Must I delete my original post and

resubmit? Thanks for any new info.

Alberto, my images are all showing as the "old" medium version, no thumbnails and no large. I don't necessarily miss the small version, but do miss the large option, although the eye is drawn to the image only without the distractions of all the print, and without having to scroll. That is a plus...makes the image "appear" large without the space taken up on the server. Still, since most people want their image viewed as large in the old system, I suppose there will be complaints. Also people scrambling to find new ways to upload their images at the highest file sizes...sigh.......

The only regret I have is that I'm now unable to view portfolios of those who've rated me, who I haven't had a chance to view/comment on their work. Since I've not yet been a victim of revenge rating or poor comments left in retaliation, this is disappointing. But it may be for the best, as it seems this is a constant topic in the forums. I do think it may encourage people to check in with the site more frequently. Also, I like the new descriptions as to what's expected of critiquers vs. photos on display just for viewing. Turning it on and off every now and then might be fun, too!

No answer, just another question. Will it be turned on again, and are efforts being made to do so? I really enjoyed looking at the randoms, as they are an oppertunity to quickly view a number of photos at one time, searching for people who take shots similar to my own tastes, and have similar equipment in some cases. Otherwise, we are left to view the recent critique requests, and sometimes time doesn't allow us to spend as much time as we'd like reviewing them. I agree, there's been a big problem with accessing the randoms for weeks, now. Maybe there's a bigger/better plan in the works?

For me, as a new community member here, it's about how to improve my photography. I have very few hours to dedicate it to, nor can I stop my life to go to workshops. It is my hobby, and becoming a passion, but for like the majority here,......life is too short! I attempt to take great shots when I see them, and if I ask for critiques, I expect to get them from people who are more experienced than I am. I also don't understand the rating system, as photographers with a lifetime of experience sometimes rank way too low in my opinion, yet who am I to judge? My main purpose for coming to this forum was to improve my pics, and I've gotten some very good suggestions , now have to find the time to try them! I actually like the comments by the people who creatique my pics who don't have photos of their own posted... makes me think they are retired teachers, or something, yet thought my work had some merit.
