I added the URL address for my personal page at photo.net to my

email signature. Doesn't work.

When I click on it while in photo.net, it works.

What am I doing wrong.

I agree Tor. That was the way I got to see most of the photos.

Now, having to rate or comment on them one by one is very time consuming. That was also my favorite feature. The other night I did about ten individual photos, and went to another site that has thumbnails. I prefer to look at 10 to 15 TN's and click on the one

I like or dislike. Please return the recent uploaded and random uploaded feature .....Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!

Brian; I have a Dell Power Edge 6450 and a 6400. Would these

help the site??,,or are they too old.

I don't know if Jerry's gone or not..I went to his portfolio & he has 0 photos. I was going to give them a look.

My experience here has been nothing but positive! I look back at

some of my photos from the beginning & I can see much improvement thanks to the people here. I get suggestions on cropping,,color,

subject matter, framing, etc. I will usually take the advice and

upload the photo again. &, the critique is usually correct.

I really appreciate the people who do take time to tell me why they

like or dislike the photo and especially comments on how it can be

improved. I wasn't so accepting of critisism in the beginning, but

I have toughened up and know they mean well.

Give it another few months Jerry & you will develope a following.

Very little constructive critisism. But, it's still fun to look

at others photos.

And about "Blue Lauren" ...if you notice, Toby took the time to talk about cropping & uploaded the example of landscape crop vs portrait.

That's what I call constructive comments. As far as showing Abbys face, the photo is done. I worked with what I had. Maybe I'm a little more "touchy" when it comes to my family. I think I shall photograph people I don't like. lol

Rob; Then why have something that doesn't matter. I believe in "survival of the fittest" & if some don't make it to the TRP page then it wasn't meant to be. Watering down ratings isn't going to get them there. If I get an extreme rating i.e. 1 or 7 I really would like to know why. In my opinion "show her face" is not constructive critisism.

I agree Robert...& thanks for the kind words Glen. & yes Michelle, I can take it, but a #%#@ing 1.! 1 is considered very bad..I've seen some very bad photos on this site such as someone putting #*#@ing warts on his head & people think he's a genius!! Like I said it's gone to their heads.

A few people have been given the title of "curator"..I notice that

this gives them the power to skip around from photo to photo giving

1's & 2's with no explaination! I don't like it one bit. If I get

a 1 or 2, I would like to know why. Is this a way to "average" out

the ratings.? What's to stop them from "mate rating"...I have had it

with this site. I got a 1 & 2 & the comment "show her face". That

to me is not a critique..It was a candid shot. Her face was shown in

many of my photos. I don't get it, I just don't get it. Get rid of

the "curators"....it's going to their heads.!! I really don't think

this photo deserved the lowest rating I ever recieved.

Another favorite of mine are digitally enhanced, or totally changed PS photos. They are also highly critisized..boy I wish you had spell check here! But, you get my point..nit picking about soo many things, enjoy life! I don't like the term "mate rating" either. Some of the people here I consider my friends even though they are in other countries & states. I recieve many emails regarding my health & photos. They are not my mates, they are my friends, & I don't give them high ratings on photos I don't like. I don't like Anna's mountains, therefore I don't rate them. According to the definition of Asthetics, don't rate something you don't like, such as french poodles. O.K. I'm done venting. Have a great Day!

Alexandru....What's wrong with flower photo's?? That's all I have besides Lauren..Everyone else runs away when they see me with my camera! I now have a bird for a while, so that's different. I love flower photos & Anna's were some of the first I rated. I was finding this site quite enjoyable til yesterday I stumbled upon this thread. Last night I dared to upload "silly" flower photos, & OHG! one ended up on the TP page! Some people here,,Bob Hickson for one...worked to help me improve my Iris boquet. This is fun for me. Richard B. Has also been quite helpful & many, many others..But I get somewhat offended by all the negative comments about flower photos. What about all the silly bridges, mountain, waterfalls & lakes I have to look at. Some I like, some I dislike. Every once in a while as I'm crusing the recent uploaded, I come across a "wow" photo. I like it, , I don't know why, but now I'm hesitant about commenting "WoW"..7/7..Or great job, 6/6....I think I'm taking my bat & ball & going home,,,I'm not having fun anymore. Just a joke! But seriously guys,,lighten up!

I will be uploading more flower photos tonight. Be forwarned!!

Well boys & girls I'm back and nothing has changed. I can't even

get to the gallery now. I like the site the way it was when I first

joined. Someone mentioned that they were going to photoSig, so I

thought that might be a nice place to go while you guys were fixing

this site. I paid my $25. & found out that it was not for me. Too

much erotica. I uploaded my iris boquet & someone told me "that's

not a photo" you should go to artSig...Nooooooo. I want to stay

here, but I want to see top photos, rate photo's & all the regular

stuff I've been doing. Also, at photoSig, your allowed to upload

only 3 photos every 72 Hrs. Boring for me. Well, I had a chance to

"vent". Now pleeeaaaasssseeeee Fix it! (for me) :>)

I give up! I'm leaving. I spend more time waiting & I have

broadband. I am trying to participate by rating & commenting on

photos, but the site is sooooo slow, I find it very frustrating. I

like to look at top photos and not available due to heavy load. All

week !! I'll be back tomorrow & hope things will be running better.

Another thought! I get really ****** off when I get a 3 & I go to their folder to see their work, & Guess what! There is none. I think if you rate & critique others work, you have to show some of your own. So, if one choses to subscribe, one must have at least 2 or 3 photos. JMHO

I have a suggestion to weed out all the birthday party photo's etc.

I knew in two weeks I wanted to join. How about giving newbies 2

weeks to upload photos (limit 10). I think that would eliminate some

of the clutter. And, I would raise the subscription rate to $50.

annualy. I was surprised to see it was only $25. I'm just unhappy

with the sloooooooowness ,if there's such a word, of the site.

Tonight I wanted to check top photo's, because my ego needs feeding,

& can't get in because of heavy load.
