Out of all the ugliness and destructions of war comes the elegant simplicity of this structure, it is a deeply moving image; more toward the hidden sadness it did not express than the image it shown.

I find your photo very interesting and has a style of your own. It is hard for a photo to capture faithfully the feeling of the person behind the lens, but I think you got it.

Very nice, capture the mood of the moment very much like the Wilhelm Hammershoi 's painting.

My dear, after a late night driving inside a city that we knew nothing about, yes with the air filled with the smell of burning weed aroma from afar, we settled into this little town by the sea. I woke up early morning, you were sound asleep then, I woke up to my own uneasiness and wandering the town in search of a feeling of the past; a past I felt so distant yet so familiar.

Very sharp, rich in color and detail, I like it very much

This island between Taiwan and China, was a real clash point then. Communist China was, at the time, still lobbing propagenda shells over to this island, Taiwan's Natinalist returned the same favor.
I was drafted into the military and made the best of it and working for the military press.
This was the picture I took when I was on assignment there.

Most of the pictures here are taken during the period of 1970s, shortly before I came to America.
looking back now, it was a changing time right before the modernization of Taiwan. Of course many things of the past are washed away forever with the changes shortly after.

Dont you think that was the best mechnical camera NIKON ever made? I had a FE-2, I can say everytime I held it up to take a picture, I feel I am totally behind this camera and take control of the picture making process.
I have used many Nikons, I still think the FE is the best they ever made.
