  1. "Moving images can never be this potent."

     

    I have to disagree with that statement. I saw the images of the prisoners and I was appalled. However, I could not force myself to watch the video of a prisoner having his head cut off. THAT was too potent for me. I'm not trying to make a political statement here - just addressing the potency of moving images vs. still.

  2. I have to admit to downloading photos in the past. Some that I thought were great pictures, and some that I wanted to share with my husband who isn't a member of Photo.net. I never considered using those pictures in any way . . . neither as wallpaper or for print. I viewed them and shared them and soon after deleted them. And when I downloaded them I used the artist's title of the piece and his/her name as the title so that those. I was new to photo.net at the time and have since learned better ways to navigate to those pictures, such as "Mark this person as interesting".
