Dana, out on the water would be the last place I would want to be but then maybe it's easier to get away from it? What I like most obout this is the wake of the boat seeming to come from the directio of the tornado as if your are running from it and it's following. Terrific photo. Looks like a flatbed scan and you would love a dedicated neg scenner.

Has the feel of a 50s poster image, the light on the legs, a little severe in contrast around the foot, draws attention there which makes sense of the pose and the clothing.

Nice exposure, the long portrait format allows the light to pervade towards the incence creating a tangible atmosphere.
The lower subject matter lacks a bit of impact but the light and general effect is impressive.

... execution of the idea and beautifully processed. Would like to have seen the eyes looking slighty more to the left but that's very minor.

balanced and looks as if it has been slightly posterised which works well.
The little white spot in the grass below distracts the eye so could be easily cloned out?
-
Nice composition and use of colours.

Nice colours and depth, a crop off the top might help.
-
This is so well done. B&W aids the composition and perspective.
Nice one.

Beautiful tone, exposure and catchlights in the eyes. The highlight in the girl's hair perfectly offsets her expression. Excellent.
-
Beautiful tone, I would persevere with that clone out as i think it will help.
Nice job, though.

Handheld or tripod? Either way great stuff

& nicely presented

Simple but effective

Nice idea, works well

Beautiful and so well observed.
There is some bright green stuff around which is distracting and could be easily taken out if it's in the original, otherwise it's one I find I just keep looking at.

As a newcomer to the site I like it's general and worldwide appeal, a place where amateurs and pros can mix and respect each other.
Some of the critiquers and their comments here suggest they would be better off looking for something else but then perhaps they might be, er, exposed and would miss being able to tell 80% of us how crap we are.
Constructive criticism guys, what's wrong with that? Oh yea, the photo has some life and the boat does provide some scale for the impressive backdrop, but would prefer a more natural colour treatment myself.

This image is fine as it is, for me, and I wouldn't get too hung up on trying to make it more representative of the title you gave.
It's nice observation.
-
Yep, menacing it is. Brought to my mind impressions of prisons, torture. Great observation.
-
I like the combination of lines, textures and subtle colours. Intriguing.

Don't follow me because I'm lost too...
